Hellerup

The Hellerup school is built a stone’s throw from the sea. From the windows you can see the industrial harbour of Copenhagen. The school, built in 2003, was the result of a highly innovative proposal: to design a new learning space for the pupils of the municipality of Hellerup who attend the Folkeskole (a single grade school that accommodates pupils aged 6 to 16).

The school was designed with the participation of experts and the same “users” of the school service: architects, pedagogists, representatives from local institutions, but also headteachers, teachers and families.
